The MCQ story started in Western Australia over 25 years ago when in 1992 our Managing Director – Mr Minh Quang Lam, opened the family’s first fresh fruit/vegetables and Asian grocery store in the suburb of Beechboro, Western Australia.

Having lived through the Vietnam War and migrated to Australia in the 1980s, the Lam family understands that success can only come with hard work, supplying the highest quality products and produce at the highest possible value, and providing our customers with exceptional service.

 

MCQ quickly became a major player within the Western Australian supermarket industry, expanding our footprint with the opening of a massive 2500-square metre shop at Coventry Village Shopping Centre in Morley, Western Australia.

This was followed by the acquisition and opening of a 2500 square metre Cash & Carry supermarket outlet, and a 2500-square meter warehouse in the outer suburb of Malaga.

With a strong background and understanding of fresh Western Australian produce, the Lam family is well positioned to source and provide our customers with the best fresh fruit and vegetables.
